In September of 2002 Callen Die Casting
International formed
"Callen Die Casting de Mexico" located in Reynosa, Tamps.
immediately
across the border from McAllen, Texas. This facility operates
as a separate
financial entity within the Callen Group as a "mequilladora".
The acquired Reynosa facility, located just 4 miles from the United States border has been producing quality Aluminum and Zinc Die Castings for more than a decade for several Fortune 500 companies especially those with operations that have expanded into Mexico.
Callen De Mexico is ISO 9001:2000 certified and continues to expand its production of precision Die Castings ranging in size from a few ounces to 10 pounds in Aluminum and up to 10 pounds in Zinc alloys serving a diverse group of automotive and non-automotive customers, utilizing a 104,000 square feet and 17 Die Casting machines.
The following certified alloys are produced:
Aluminum: 380, 383, and 413
Zinc: No. 3, No. 5, No. 7 and ZA alloys
Additional value-added services are routinely utilized which include: CNC machining, impregnation, shotblasting, assembly and a plethora of optional coatings / finishes.
